Sage & Quail Outdoor Studio was founded on the belief that exceptional outdoor spaces begin with thoughtful planning. Every landscape has its own character, and my goal is to create designs that feel timeless, purposeful, and naturally connected.

My career in the green industry began at Moana Nursery, where I built a strong foundation in horticulture while working in several roles throughout the company. It was during my time in contractor services, however, that I discovered my passion for landscape design.

Working closely with many of Northern Nevada's landscape design-build companies, I coordinated plant orders, sourced specialty material, and reviewed landscape plans for projects throughout the region. Seeing those plans come together—and the careful thought behind every plant palette and design decision—sparked a curiosity that eventually became a career. Before long, I knew I wanted to be creating those plans myself.

My experience later as a buyer broadened my understanding of plant sourcing, availability, and the relationships between growers, suppliers, and the landscape industry. Each role strengthened a different part of my knowledge, but landscape design brought them all together in a way that felt both creative and deeply rewarding.

Today, Sage & Quail Outdoor Studio brings together years of horticultural knowledge, industry experience, and a passion for thoughtful design to serve homeowners throughout Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Northern Nevada. I believe the best landscapes balance beauty, function, and a strong sense of place. They should feel timeless—enhancing daily life today while remaining an enduring asset for years to come.
